ANNE (nee Piraino) died on January 15, 2012. She is survived by Fred, her husband of 48 years, son Aaron and daughter Eve, as well as her brother Daniel. She was a beautiful person inside and out - a devoted wife, deeply loving mother, and cherished friend. Anne was a woman with a true sense of compassion and kindness, generous with her time, love, and energy. She regularly gave to charity, sent sweet notes and articles of interest to those she loved, and always ended each phone call with her family members by blowing a kiss through the phone.
A beautiful woman with an innate sense of style, she was often mistaken for a model or dancer, and assumed by strangers to be the sister of her adult daughter for many years. She was an accomplished knitter who created many gorgeous pieces of clothing for those she loved. She also was a Scrabble aficionado who played with her husband every single day and who beat us all many times over. Famous for her clams and macaroni among many other dishes, she nourished us all with her cooking and kept alive the traditions of her mother and aunt, from whom she learned her culinary skills. She loved the Forsythe Wildlife Refuge, the ocean, Longwood Gardens, and our friend Joann's home in Salem, NJ. Anne was a great dancer and lover of music; a nature person; quick to laugh and make others laugh; a wonderful conversationalist, always available to listen and offer support; and a general lover of life.
Anne's biggest accomplishment in life was the love she gave and received and the relationships she nurtured. She will live always in the trees and stars and sky, and in the hearts of those who will forever love and grieve her.
