It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ann Leibowitz Steinberg, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who passed away on December 26th, 2024, at the age of 92.
Ann was born on September 22, 1932 in York, Pennsylvania, to Samuel and Marie Leibowitz. A proud graduate of Temple University, Ann dedicated over 30 years of her life to teaching kindergarten in the Philadelphia public schools, where she made a lasting impact on generations of children. Her warmth, patience, and passion for education helped shape the lives of countless young students.
Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Zalmer Steinberg, who passed away on December 26th, 2012, just one day after their wedding anniversary. Together, they shared a life filled with love, companionship, and mutual support.
Ann spent her later years residing in North Palm Beach, Florida, where she enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the company of her family. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Ann will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Alison) and Jeffrey (Barrie), her five grandchildren, Courtney, Samantha, Becki, Emily and Joshua and her great-grandson, Eli. Ann is also deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on December 29, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Home in Southampton, followed by burial at King David Cemetery in Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ann's memory to the National Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family would like to thank all those who have offered their support during this difficult time. Ann’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
