ANN "SIS", 90, of Philadelphia, PA., passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015. Born February 24, 1924, she was the loving wife of the late Sylvan H. Eisman, who always made her laugh, and the adored mother of Marian (Harvey) Forman, Jerry (and Kathy) Eisman and Amy Eisman. Sis loved community, serving at various times as first female Vice President of the Federation of Jewish Agencies, chairman of the Council for International Visitors, Director and a Vice Chairman of the Board of City Trusts, the executive committee of Girard College, President of the Doctors Wives at HUP and chair of the woman's campaign of Allied Jewish Appeal. Her passions didn't stop at the doorstep; she organized book clubs, greening committees, and the computer club at The Philadelphian. In addition to her children who were astounded by her beauty and creativity, she is survived by grandchildren Laura and Jason Dymbort, parents of Casey and Thomas; Daniel and Lauren Forman, parents of Leslie and William; Rachel and Daniel Cukierman, parents of Caleb and Tobias; and David and Laura Eisman. Services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, Feb. 22, at The Philadelphian, Social Room A, 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue in Philadelphia, followed by shiva, same address, Sunday and Monday nights, in her apartment 7-A-4. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ann Eisman can be made to Girard College Development Fund at Girard College, 2101 South College Avenue, Phila., PA 19121.
