Anita Rosyln Rouman Taylor

Born in 1928 to Abe and Dora Rouman, Anita grew up with her three sisters Ruth, Marion and Pearl, [of whom she is predeceased] in Philadelphia, Kulpsville and Atlantic City.

She studied Sculpture on full scholarship at The Museum School, now Philadelphia College of Art. There she was trained by and ‘ghost’ sculpted for renown Philadelphia sculptor Wallace Kelly, whose works appear at the Michener Museum, and on the East River Drive in Fairmount Park.

After meeting her husband Charlie of 60 years, for decades they enthusiastically operated the eclectic Taylor’s Country Store, first in the old Montgomeryville Mart, then in center city Philadelphia. In retirement they moved to New Hope, Pa. where Anita became an antique dealer and restorer. Anita had boundless love and wild creative energy for her family, many friends, travel, and dogs!

Charlie passed away in 2012. Anita is survived by her four children Eve, Andrew [Cathy Ann], Barbara [the late Ken Sheehan] and Daniel.Anita is now happy and free to ride horses and feed the dogs at the table as much as she likes! Contributions in her memory may be made to the animal rescue of your choice. Condolences may be made to www.goldsteinsfuneral.com
