LEVY
ALMA (nee Eisenhandler), 95, died on December 8, 2012 in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was born on May 13, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA, and she married Dr. Leon Levy on April 6, 1941, in Wilmington, DE. An excellent pianist, Mrs. Levy turned down a scholarship to the Curtis School of Music to become a dental hygienist, and served in that capacity at Ft. DuPont during World War II, while her husband was stationed overseas. Predeceased by him after 69 years of marriage, she is survived by her sister, Mrs. Joy Aloisi, her two sons, Dr. Arnold (Maureen Cannon) Levy, and Dr. Michael (Phyllis) Levy, her grandchildren, Adrienne (Bryan) Malickson, Rob Levy, Meryl (Byron) Cross, and Lauren Levy, and by her great-grandson, Ari Malickson. SCHOENBERG MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 519 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE. Interment Beth Emeth Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors afterwards at the home of Mrs. Aloisi, in Wilmington, where shiva minyan will be held at 6 P.M. Shiva will continue Wednesday and Thursday at the home of Michael and Phyllis Levy in Voorhees, NJ, with services at 7:30 each evening.
