DR. ALBERT MORRIS, on August 31, 2012. Husband of Sylvia (nee Turtletaub) Honig. Father of Karin Honig (Joseph Kleinman), Kim Honig (Jack Gudin), Eric Honig (Hannah Shaw), and Dr. Peter Honig (Laura Tucker). Brother of Elsa Fine and Doris (Raymond) Guenter. Grandfather of Zachary, Shana, and Zora Rose. Dr. Honig was the co-founder of the Delaware Valley Mental Health Foundation and a world-renowned psychiatrist who shared his innovative treatments with colleagues in Belgium, Scandinavia, China, India and Africa. He was a poet and author of several books, including The Awakening Nightmare, and the subject of an Academy Award-nominated documentary (1968) titled Other Voices, and numerous articles in national publications (Look, New York, New York Times). Albert Honig was a humanitarian, fisherman, outdoorsman, avid sports fan, creative Chinese cook, and marathon runner. He was a true Renaissance man, loving father, grandfather, and brother who will be sorely missed. Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services Tuesday, Sept. 4th 10:30 A.M. precisely at Doylestown Cem. (Sec. S-3). Contributions in his memory may be made to the Audubon Society, 225 Varick St., New York, NY 10014, or to the Jewish National Fund Tree Planting Center, 2100 Arch St., 3rd Fl., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
