Age 96, passed away on October 8, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Baskin) for 57 years. Husband of Shirley (nee Leoff) for 13 years. Beloved father of Iris (Mark) Koshar, Barbara Bonier, Jerome (Jacqueline) Bonier, and Bruce (Cynthia) Bonier. Grandfather of Lynne (Mark) Rineheimer, Benjamin (Dayna) Koshar, Matthew Thomas, Audrey (Joshua) Lava, Jennie Thomas, Sarah (Mark) Cooper, Courtney Bonier, Jordan (Rachel) Bonier, Kelsey Bonier, Joseph Bonier, and Rachel (Shaun) Tuch. Great-grandfather to Simone Thomas, Eric Rineheimer, Tyler Koshar, Zak Koshar, Emma Koshar, Bailey Cooper, Ethan Cooper, Noa Tuch, Abigail Tuch, Talia Tuch, Ronan Lava and Judah Lava. To them he was known as "Pop-Pop Bonny". Preceded in death by his siblings, Harry Bonier, Samuel Bonier and Anne Margulies.
Albert grew up in Chester PA, the youngest child, along with his twin sister, Anne, of four children born to Reuben and Mabel Bonier. He loved base-ball and played for the Chester High School team. Later he was offered a spot on a minor league team but, at his mother's urging, decided to become a physician instead. He studied at Temple Univ. and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He began his medical practice in Camden NJ and later became a general surgeon, practicing at Cherry Hill Hospital in Cherry Hill NJ and Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia PA. He also served on the American Osteopathic Association Certifi-cation Board. Subsequently, he took the position of Medical Director at Metropolitan Hospital.
Albert's passions in life were baseball and golf. He was a well respected, generous human being who freely gave assist-ance and reassurance to anyone who needed him.
Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services Sunday, 11 A.M. precisely, at Ohev Shalom Cemetery, Brookhaven PA. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to the charity of your choice in Albert's name.
