HOPENWASSER
ALAN "ABISH", age 103, May 20, 2006, Husband of the late Dora; father of Dr. Howard (Helena) Hopenwasser, grandfather of Monica Hopenwasser and Joanna Hopenwasser Belson (Joshua). Mr Hopenwasser was born in Poland and emigrated to the United States in 1939. He lost his wife, 2 children, his parents, 5 brothers and sisters and their children. Alan served in the U.S. Army and remarried in 1947, when he began his "second" life. He was part of the Boston Centenarian Study and the Einstein Longevity Study. He touched everyone he met with his love for life, laughter, family and song. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Monday, 11:30 A.M. precisely, GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. Int. Shalom Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Hopenwasser.
