Age 77, of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 26, 2018. Loving and devoted husband of 51 years to Deedy (nee Winderman). Beloved father of Steven L. Gart, Lisa Gart Kogan and son-in-law Benjamin Kogan. Cherished grandfather of Ryan Z. Kogan and Daniel H. Kogan. Alan was the Abraham Lincoln High School class of January 1958 valedictorian. He received his Bachelor's Master's and PhD (1967) all from the University of Pennsylvania. Alan was a professor of finance, an author, and a senior executive. He loved to travel, especially to London, and enjoyed the arts and literature. Alan was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, a Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder and an avid fan of the game of basketball. Alan loved his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
