A true Renaissance Gentleman, who led his life with integrity as a Philadelphia insurance execu-tive, always sharing his sharp dry wit, loving music, the arts and the horses, and treasuring his Jewish heritage. He was the son of the late Sidney M. and Belle K. Baer. Survived by his beloved wife Anita (nee Fineman), daughters, Kandy Sisselman, Rachel Bogdanoff (Kurt Brucato), Karen Betz (Michael), Julie D'Ettorre (Michael), 6 grandchildren and sisters Roberta Baer-Schimmel and Nancy Baer. Graveside services Monday, 11 A.M. at Alliance Cem., 970 Gerschel Avenue, Norma, NJ, 08362. Shiva will be observed at the late residence. Contributions in Alan's memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders or SmileTrain.
