WHITMAN (EPSTEIN)
AILEEN EPSTEIN WHITMAN, passed on July 26, 2016, grace-fully in her home. Beloved wife of the late Gerson Epstein and the late Jules I. Whitman; cherished sister of Wilma (Ronald) Lenkin, and the late Evelyn (Stanley) Edeiken; loving and devoted mother of Barbara Epstein Sivan, and Charles (Roslyn) Epstein; stepmother of David (Lynn Rosellini) Whitman and Douglas Whitman; adoring grandmother of Rachel, Genna, Joshua (Jennifer) Epstein, Etya Sivan, Lily Whitman, Katherine Whitman. Aileen will be remembered as a loving and graceful daughter, wife, mother, sister, Bubbie, aunt, great aunt and friend. Elegant, a lover of nature, music and the arts, Aileen cared for all, especially the underserved. Aileen lived life to the fullest with dignity, gratitude, and grace. Aileen was a member of the National Board of Governors of Ben Gurion University, a board member of the National Liberty Museum and a member of the volunteer committee of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Aileen leaves behind a legacy of generosity of spirit, of bringing family and friends together and of responsibility to help make the world a better place. She will remain always in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Thursday at 12 Noon,
GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL-SACKS 6410 N. Broad St. Int. Montefiore Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Aileen Epstein Whitman through Sunday evening.
