ABRAHAM J., Feb. 28, 2004, husband of the late Ann S. (nee Krantweiss), for over 60 years; father of Marc (Debra) Kownatsky and Barbara (Howard) Rubin; brother of Gertrude Wise and Helen Portner; grandfather of Wade and Ross Kownatsky, Seth Rubin, Wendy (Richard Jr.) Kohler and Jeffrey Rubin; great grandfather of J.R.; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Kownatsky was the Officer in Charge of the prison during the Nurenburg Trials after WWII. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving as a First Lieutenant in the Army. He was a Manager and District Manager of The York Shops of Phila. He was a long time member of the Klein Branch-JCC and a member of its Travel Club. He was also a member of the Delaware Valley Battle of the Bulge Assoc. and Bnai Chaim Social. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Monday, 1:30 P.M. precisely, at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad St. Int. Mt. Sharon Cem. Shiva will be observed at the home of Barbara and Howard Rubin. Contributions in his memory may be made to American Diabetes Assoc., or American Heart Assoc.
