Abner Sokol

Abner "Abe" Sokol, 89, was born in Philadelphia to parents Harry and Sarah Sokol. He was educated at Overbrook High School and Temple University. He made his living as a salesman and enjoyed playing baseball well into his 70s. He was preceded in death by his parents; his older brother, Maurice Sokol; and his niece, Linda Sokol Greenberg. He is remembered lovingly by niece Marlene Sokol, nephew Bruce Sokol, and his close friend, Roslyn Shapiro. A graveside service is planned at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 10, at King David Memorial Park, Section BB, 3594 Bristol Road in Bensalem, PA., 19020.
