RUBIN
A. MILTON "MILT", of Elkins Park PA, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2012, of complications due to Parkinson's disease. Always a fighter with a passion for life, Milt battled this too.
A devoted husband and father, he is survived by Alice (nee Berson), his cherished wife of 26 years, and his son, Jonathan; stepchildren, Joanne Kind Hinton, Richard Kind and grand-children, Alison, Andrew, Josh, Skylar, Max and Samantha. He is also survived by his loving sister-in-law, Ruth (nee Mosheim) Rubin; nieces, Carol (nee Rubin) Laskin and Judith (nee Robinson) Barza as well as Nephew Daniel Gross. Milt loved life and always tried to live life to its fullest. For some this is a platitude, for Milt, this was a mission. He was born in Atlantic City NJ and always enjoyed returning to his home town. A talented skier and sailor, Milt skied and sailed for the better part of 50 years, into his 70's. An Army Veteran of World War II, he was an amateur historian of that War, with a tremendous interest in all things relating to it. Proud of his heritage, he wrote and self-published a book discuss-ing the contributions by the Jewish people to modern civilization. Over the years, he avidly participated in his community, including the Board of the Cheltenham Adult School, a Board member of his Condo Association and as a member of Keneseth Israel Synagogue for over 50 years. A graduate of Temple University, Milt was a former Sales Executive of the Philadelphia Inquirer for 32 years (1954 - 1992), Milt was a guest lecturer at Temple University, a renown-ed expert on advertising, a creator of innovative sales presentation techniques and an inventor and patent holder.
Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Friday, 1 P.M. precisely, at Reform Cong. Keneseth Israel, 8339 OldYork Rd., Elkins Park. Int. Mt. Sinai Cem. Shiva will be observed at his late residence. Contribu-tions may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
